Ukraine reportedly strikes Iskander missile factory in Russia
According to the General Staff, Ukraine launched a missile strike on a Russian ballistic missile factory in Votkinsk, Udmurtia, approximately 1,400 kilometers from its territory.
It claims to have used domestic Flamingo ground-to-ground missiles. The attack caused a fire at the facility, where Iskander short-range missiles and Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missiles are manufactured.
Udmurtia Governor Alexander Brechalov confirmed the nighttime attack, but spoke of drones and acknowledged damage and injuries without providing further details. Authorities temporarily closed airports in Izhevsk and surrounding regions.
According to the SHOT channel, local residents reported at least three explosions and the buzzing of unmanned aircraft. Ukraine also reported an attack on a gas plant in Samara, which Moscow has not yet confirmed.
