JD Vance: Iran is once again attempting to develop nuclear weapons

According to Vice President JD Vance, the United States has evidence that Iran is once again attempting to restart its nuclear weapons program following the US attacks on its nuclear facilities in June. Vance made the statement shortly before the planned talks between US and Iranian delegations in Geneva.

As reported by the Times of Israel, he emphasized that Washington's position remains unchanged—Tehran must not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. If it attempts to resume its program, the United States would consider it a serious problem.

However, according to Vance, President Donald Trump's administration still prefers a diplomatic solution. Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are also expected to attend the talks.

At the same time, it was noted that the president has other options at his disposal and that Washington is keeping its options open for tougher scenarios going forward.
