Russia suspends flights to Iran and Israel after Tel Aviv attack
Russia has temporarily suspended flights to Iran and Israel after Israel announced a preemptive strike on Iranian targets. Moscow responded to the closure of both countries' airspace and, according to the Ministry of Transport, took measures to protect passengers and crews.
Russian airlines, in cooperation with the authorities and the regulatory body Rosaviatsiya, have prepared alternative routes so that they can continue flights to the Persian Gulf countries. However, these will be longer and logistically more demanding.
The Russian authorities have not yet indicated how long the restrictions will remain in place.
