Ukrainian Drone Strikes Hit Russian Port of Tuapse
The Russian port of Tuapse has come under a series of Ukrainian drone attacks that have intensified sharply in recent days. The latest strike triggered a fire at the port terminal, with firefighters deploying dozens of units to contain it.
An earlier attack caused extensive damage to a refinery and led to oil pollution along the coast, prompting authorities to declare a state of emergency. Residents face strict restrictions, including a ban on drinking tap water, limits on outdoor activity and the closure of schools.
Despite official assurances, mistrust and criticism are growing among residents. Ukraine is also reportedly targeting Russian oil facilities deep inside the country in an effort to disrupt Moscow’s key energy export revenues. The conflict is increasingly affecting civilian life beyond the front line.
