Israeli Military Urges Evacuations in Southern Lebano
The Israeli military on Sunday issued an urgent warning to residents of 11 towns and villages in southern Lebanon, urging them to leave their homes and move at least 1,000 meters away to open areas.
The military said it was carrying out operations against Hezbollah in response to what it described as violations of the ceasefire agreement, warning that anyone near Hezbollah fighters or facilities could be at risk.
Israel has continued strikes in southern Lebanon, while its troops remain deployed in a strip of territory in the south, where they have destroyed buildings they say were used by Hezbollah.
The Iran-backed militant group has continued to launch drone and missile attacks against Israeli forces in Lebanon and northern Israel.
