US Prosecutor Says Evidence Confirms Agent Was Shot at White House Dinner

US Attorney Jeanine Pirro said investigators have evidence that a federal agent was struck during a shooting linked to an attempted attack on President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

Pirro said forensic analysis showed that a projectile from the suspect’s weapon hit the protective vest of a US Secret Service officer.

“We now can establish that a pellet that came from the buckshot from the defendant's Mossberg pump-action shotgun was intertwined with the fiber of the vest of the Secret Service officer,” she said in an interview with CNN.

The incident is among the most serious recent security breaches involving the US administration, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
