Meta Expands Push into AI Wearables

Meta is preparing to further expand its presence in wearable technology and artificial intelligence. According to The Information, the company plans to test a new AI-powered pendant as early as next year, adding to its growing portfolio of smart devices.

The project is part of chief executive Mark Zuckerberg's broader strategy to strengthen Meta's position in the hardware market and reduce losses in its Reality Labs division.

The company also plans to significantly expand its range of AI-powered smart glasses and introduce a new "Wearables for Work" service aimed at enterprise customers.

Meta has invested billions of dollars in recent years to develop products focused on augmented reality, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

Reuters noted that it was unable to independently verify the report. Meta did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
