Ukrainian Drones Hit Russian Tanker and Oil Depot

Ukrainian drones struck a tanker in the Russian port of Taganrog and an oil depot in the town of Armavir overnight, authorities in the southern Russian regions of Rostov and Krasnodar reported.

Rostov region governor Yuri Slyusar said fires on the tanker and in the port had been extinguished and no oil spill was reported. Two people were injured in the Taganrog attack. Taganrog mayor Svetlana Kambulova announced that the city's local state of emergency, in place since 27 May, had been extended.

In the neighboring Krasnodar region, authorities in Armavir said they had brought the fire at an oil depot in an industrial zone under control. No injuries were reported there.

Slyusar added that nearly 50 drones had been shot down in the Rostov region. Attacks were reported across several parts of the region, which borders Ukraine's Donbas, one of the main battlegrounds of the war. Outside Taganrog, authorities reported only minor damage.
