Terrorist Attack in Israel: Shooter Killed by Police

A shooting in central Israel near the West Bank killed one person and wounded five others on Sunday. Israeli authorities are investigating the incident as a suspected terror attack.

Israeli police said they had "neutralized" the suspected shooter but did not immediately disclose his identity or provide further details. Emergency services said a 35-year-old man died of gunshot wounds. Two of the five injured are in serious condition.

The attack took place across three locations near the Palestinian city of Qalqilya in the West Bank. The Palestinian Hamas movement welcomed the shooting but did not claim responsibility.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said he had conducted a security assessment of the incident.
