Trump Invites Polish President to His 80th Birthday Party

Polish President Karol Nawrocki is expected to attend a celebration at the White House this weekend at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. According to Polish radio station RMF FM, the visit is not an official state visit but an appearance at Trump's 80th birthday party, which will be combined with a UFC gala event held on the grounds of the presidential residence.

Nawrocki, whom Trump openly supported during the Polish election campaign, is expected to travel to the United States on Sunday. White House sources describe relations between the two as warmer than standard diplomatic ties, making his inclusion among the invited guests unsurprising. A visit to a Polish church in Silver Spring, near Washington, is also on the agenda.

The centerpiece of the celebration will be the UFC Freedom 250 gala, organized to mark both Flag Day and the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Preparations are under way for a temporary arena on the South Lawn of the White House with capacity for around 5,000 guests. Organizers expect tens of thousands more fans to watch the event on large screens in the surrounding area.

Trump has cited his longstanding admiration for the sport as the reason for hosting UFC fights at the White House. He has a close friendship with UFC president Dana White, and in 2019 became the first sitting US president to attend a UFC event in person. The main match of the evening will feature Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.
