Ukraine Strikes Crimea Supply Bridges with New Drones

Ukraine is stepping up attacks on Russian logistics using a new generation of medium-range drones. The First Independent Assault Regiment announced strikes on bridges near Armyansk, Henichesk and Chonhar, which form the main supply link between occupied Crimea and the southern front, Business Insider reported.

Released footage shows drones repeatedly striking bridge structures, with fires breaking out at several points and visible damage to the spans.

Ukraine deployed FirePoint FP-2 drones carrying a warhead of approximately 100 kg, alongside a smaller Hippo variant fitted with a thermobaric charge. Russian occupation authorities confirmed the attacks and acknowledged damage to several bridges.

Kherson Oblast governor Vladimir Saldo said dozens of drone strikes were directed at the region, forcing traffic restrictions and the rerouting of vehicles. The new drones allow Ukraine to hit targets deeper behind enemy lines at lower cost than conventional strategic strike systems.
