Trump Signals Recovery in Hormuz Shipping

US President Donald Trump said that an increasing number of oil tankers are once again passing through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route.

In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said vessels were using the southern maritime corridor, which he described as safe and fully navigable.

The comments come amid expectations of easing tensions in the region and a possible return to normal shipping traffic through one of the world's most important energy chokepoints. The Strait of Hormuz handles a significant share of global oil exports and is closely monitored by energy markets and governments.
