Trump Links Peace Talks to Threat of Renewed Strikes

Donald Trump has once again toughened his rhetoric toward Iran, warning that the United States will resume military strikes if Tehran does not halt the activities of its allies in Lebanon.

In a post on Truth Social, the US president said Iran must immediately take action against groups that, according to Washington, are contributing to instability in the region.

Otherwise, he threatened an even harsher response than that seen during the recent US attacks. Talks are currently underway in Switzerland between US and Iranian officials on a broader agreement and the stabilization of the situation in the Middle East.

The main topics are the ceasefire in Lebanon, Iran's nuclear program and regional security.
