Iran Agrees to Admit Nuclear Inspectors, Vance Says

US Vice President JD Vance said on Monday that progress had been made in negotiations with Iran. He said Tehran had agreed to allow nuclear inspectors into the country and to establish mechanisms for managing frozen assets and monitoring the ceasefire.

Following talks in Switzerland, Vance said the agreements also included a mechanism to ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Technical discussions are expected to continue in the coming days and weeks.

The vice president also said discussions on nuclear inspections in Iran could begin as early as this week.
