Saudi Aramco Resumes Oil Shipments After Four Months
Saudi Aramco resumed loading oil at its Ras Tanura terminal in the Persian Gulf on Friday after a hiatus of nearly four months, according to shipping data from LSEG.
The data showed that two large oil tankers were loading at the terminal, while another was waiting nearby. Each tanker can carry two million barrels of oil.
The Saudi energy giant last loaded a China-bound shipment from Ras Tanura on 8 March. It then rerouted all exports to the Red Sea port of Yanbu after Iran’s wartime blockade of the Strait of Hormuz prevented ships from entering the Persian Gulf.
Middle Eastern producers are increasing production and exports after the US and Iran reached a preliminary agreement to end the war.
