Putin: Russia Faces a Hard Period but Lessons Learned

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that Russia is going through a difficult period but that the country has learned a great deal from it, the state news agency TASS reported.

In his speech at a conference of the ruling United Russia party ahead of the September parliamentary elections, Putin also wished the party, which he once led, success in the elections.
