Zelensky Announces Strike on Russian Satellite Center
Ukraine launched another long-range strike against a Russian satellite communications center in the Moscow region on Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X.
According to Zelensky, the facility in Dubna is a key communications hub used by Russia for intelligence operations and to coordinate military units fighting in Ukraine. The site is located more than 500 km from the Ukrainian border. The extent of the damage has not yet been confirmed.
Zelensky said Ukrainian forces have recently struck four similar Russian communications centers, including facilities in the Moscow and Vladimir regions.
“Step by step, we are implementing our plan for long-range sanctions and making it as difficult as possible for the aggressor state to wage war against Ukraine and occupy our territories. Further similar operations against enemy targets are also being prepared”, he wrote.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the Russian capital had come under a large-scale drone attack beginning at around 4 a.m. He claimed Russian air defenses intercepted about 50 drones.
