Germany Plans €13.3bn Energy Relief Package
Germany's government plans to provide €13.3bn in energy cost relief for businesses and households in 2027, financed through the Climate and Transformation Fund (KTF), the Finance Ministry announced Wednesday.
The package includes subsidies for electricity transmission charges, along with targeted support for energy-intensive industries through an industrial electricity pricing scheme and electricity price compensation.
The ministry said funding the measures would require spending cuts elsewhere in the Climate and Transformation Fund.
