US Strikes Iranian Military Sites in Latest Wave of Attacks

The US military said late on Wednesday that it had completed its latest wave of strikes on Iran at the direction of President Donald Trump, targeting sites including Bandar Abbas, Iran’s principal port city on the Strait of Hormuz.

“U.S. forces struck Iranian command centers, air defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities”, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on X.

The military reported hitting targets at several locations, including Bandar Abbas, home to Iran’s largest port and major naval and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities.

“Earlier this morning, American forces struck coastal defense and cruise missile sites on Greater Tunb Island during a 90-minute wave”, CENTCOM added.

Trump this week renewed threats to strike Iranian energy facilities and also suggested that bridges could be targeted next week.
