US Strikes Iran for 11th Consecutive Night

The US military concluded a 75-minute wave of strikes against Iran late on Tuesday, marking the 11th consecutive night of American attacks.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the operation targeted Iranian command centers, naval facilities, aircraft hangars, drone depots and military logistics infrastructure.

According to dpa, Iran activated its air defense systems over Tehran for the first time since the latest escalation. Explosions were also reportedly heard in Bushehr.

Washington says Iran has carried out more than 30 attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz over the past three months.

The conflict began on 28 February, when the United States and Israel attacked Iran. Tehran responded by striking Israel and US military bases in the Persian Gulf, while also disrupting traffic through one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes.

The escalation has caused casualties on both sides. US military deaths have risen to 18, with several hundred personnel wounded. Iran’s Health Ministry says 50 civilians have been killed and 500 wounded in the latest American strikes.

President Donald Trump has vowed retaliation against Iran and threatened to expand the campaign to include power plants and bridges.
