Alleged Epstein Recruiter Found Dead in France
Daniel Siad, a suspect in the recruitment of young models for the convicted, now deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has died. According to the website Le Parisien, the 69-year-old was found unresponsive at his home in Colombes on Monday evening.
Five women had filed complaints against the man, who reportedly died of cardiac arrest. His 28-year-old roommate discovered his body in the kitchen. A neighbor and paramedics called to the scene attempted to resuscitate him but were unable to save him.
The Nanterre prosecutor's office confirmed that an investigation into the cause of death has been opened and ordered an autopsy. The case is being handled by the judicial police in Hauts-de-Seine, and his attorney has not yet commented on the matter.
Siad's name returned to public attention in late January, after the US Department of Justice released the Epstein files.
