Russia, Ukraine Dispute Target of Missile Strike

Russia's Defense Ministry said a missile strike hit a facility near Kyiv where Ukrainian and foreign-made drones used in attacks on Russian civilian targets were being displayed.

According to Moscow, the site was hosting drone developers, manufacturers and commanders of Ukrainian unmanned systems units and intelligence officials involved in planning operations against Russia.

Ukrainian authorities, however, said a Russian ballistic missile struck a site in the Kyiv region where a defense industry event was taking place.

Ukrainian officials and industry representatives said the attack killed at least 10 people and injured nearly 100 others.

The two sides gave conflicting accounts of the purpose of the targeted facility, and their claims could not be independently verified.
