US to Scrap Tariffs on Serbian Goods
The United States will abolish its 35% tariffs on imports of Serbian goods, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, adding that the move would provide relief for the country's export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses.
According to Vucic, the tariffs will be reduced to zero temporarily from Friday before later stabilizing at about 10%–12%.
He said the decision would help attract foreign investment and strengthen Serbia's investment and credit ratings.
The US tariffs, introduced last year, primarily affected the automotive, agricultural, machinery, metals, manufacturing and defense sectors
According to US Census Bureau data, the US trade deficit with Serbia exceeded $730m in 2025.
