Italian Defense Minister Wants Fedorov as Advisor

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto has offered former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov a position as his advisor in Rome, shortly after Fedorov was dismissed from his post.

Crosetto said the former minister received the offer with emotion, describing it as a gesture of respect and friendship. The Italian minister also highlighted Fedorov's contribution to the modernization of the Ukrainian military and the development of new technologies, particularly unmanned systems.

According to Crosetto, Fedorov was among those who fundamentally changed the way war is waged and helped Ukraine confront the Russian invasion.

Fedorov, 35, lost his post as defense minister this month, sparking rare protests during the war.

President Volodymyr Zelensky subsequently offered him another government position, but Fedorov stated that he would not accept any position other than that of defense minister.
