Russia Again Uses North Korean Missile, Sources Say

An entire family was killed in a Russian missile attack overnight near the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih. According to two sources cited by Reuters, Russia likely used a North Korean ballistic missile in the attack, which would mark the first confirmed use of such a weapon in nearly a year.

One of the sources said Ukraine last recorded the use of a North Korean KN-23 or KN-24 missile on 8 August last year.

The renewed use of these missiles may indicate that Moscow has received new arms shipments from North Korea, according to the source.

Overnight, Russia attacked Ukraine with dozens of missiles and hundreds of drones, killing at least eight people, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president also highlighted a shortage of air defense systems and called on Western allies to expedite further military aid.
