Russian Attack Damages Lithuanian Embassy in Kyiv

The Lithuanian embassy sustained damage during Saturday's Russian missile attack on Kyiv, with two missiles striking near the building, the Lithuanian ministry of foreign affairs reported.

No one was injured in the attack, but the shock wave shattered the embassy's windows, damaged solar panels and left the courtyard littered with debris. According to Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys, one missile struck approximately 10 m from the embassy and the other about 150 m away.

Budrys said Lithuania would summon a representative of the Russian embassy to lodge a protest.

He also said Russian aggression could be brought to an end through continued support for Ukraine, strengthening its resilience and increasing pressure on Russia through sanctions to ultimately bring it to the negotiating table.
