Ukrainian Drones Sink Russian Civilian Ship in Black Sea

Two Ukrainian drones struck a civilian vessel belonging to Rosatom, the Russian state-owned nuclear energy company, during a nighttime attack in the Black Sea. The ship subsequently sank, according to Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev.

All 17 crew members on board survived the attack. The vessel was carrying cargo, including frozen food and construction materials.

Likhachev described the attack as piracy and maritime robbery.

In recent weeks, both Russia and Ukraine have intensified attacks on vessels they claim are supporting the other side's war effort.
