Ukrainian Attacks Have Claimed Two Lives in Russia

Nighttime attacks by Ukrainian drones have claimed at least two lives in areas along the Volga River, regional officials reported. A warehouse belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, was also targeted.

The Russian ministry of defense announced that it shot down 635 Ukrainian drones overnight.

According to Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, governor of the Samara region, a drone struck the Wildberries warehouse, located approximately 800 km from the nearest Ukrainian positions. Information on possible casualties is still being verified.

Ukraine has recently intensified its attacks deep into Russian territory, focusing primarily on economic and energy targets. Since 18 July, it has struck approximately a dozen Wildberries facilities in an effort to disrupt the company's operations.

In the neighboring Saratov Region, two people were killed after a residential building was struck in the city of Engels. Governor Roman Busargin also reported damage to civilian infrastructure in Engels and Saratov.

Ukraine did not immediately comment on the attacks.
