Seven Killed in Ukrainian Drone Attack, Russia Says

At least seven people, including three children, were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Black Sea resort area of Gelendzhik, according to Russian authorities. Another 40 people were injured, several of whom remain in serious condition.

Veniamin Kondratyev, governor of southern Krasnodar region, said the attack deliberately targeted civilians, although in an earlier statement he had attributed the casualties to falling drone debris. Reuters reported that it remains unclear whether the drone was brought down by Russian air defenses or diverted by electronic jamming.

Ukraine has not commented on the incident. Both sides have repeatedly denied deliberately targeting civilians during the war.
