Russian Drone Pursues and Injures Civilian in Kherson

A Russian first-person-view (FPV) drone pursued and attacked a civilian at a market in Kherson, the Ukrainian National Police said.

Footage released by the police reportedly shows the drone chasing a 52-year-old vendor from the Mykolaiv region before exploding close to him.

The man survived but suffered a concussion and shrapnel wounds. He received medical treatment and remains under observation.

Police stressed that the victim was neither a member of the armed forces nor involved in combat operations. They are investigating the attack as a war crime.

Authorities again urged residents who spot drones not to attempt to film them but to seek shelter immediately.

Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly reported drone attacks on civilians in Kherson. A United Nations investigation found that Russian forces had deliberately targeted civilians near the front line with short-range drones, creating conditions that forced thousands of people to flee their homes. The commission concluded that the attacks amounted to crimes against humanity.
