Reform UK Targets Firms Hiring Illegal Migrants

Reform UK wants to take a much tougher stance against companies that employ undocumented migrants. Nigel Farage’s party is proposing fines of up to 10% of a company’s global revenue, while senior executives could face up to five years in prison, according to the European Conservative.

Under the proposal, authorities could shut down companies that fail or are unable to pay the fines. Reform UK intends to use the proceeds to compensate victims of crimes committed by migrants and support declining commercial districts.

Farage is also pushing for a public hotline to report suspected cases of illegal employment. Reform UK’s hardline stance appears to be increasingly influencing the Conservatives.

The Conservatives want to restrict access to social housing in England for most foreign nationals. Reform UK would go further, reserving social housing exclusively for British citizens.
