F-16 Crashes in Turkey During Training Flight

An F-16 fighter plane crashed in northwestern Turkey on Wednesday during a training flight, the country’s defense ministry said.

The crash occurred in Yalova province. The pilot ejected and survived, according to the ministry. Turkish media published footage showing plumes of black smoke rising from a field.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
