Musk to Spend Millions Backing Trump

Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump have restored their relationship following a sharp conflict last year. According to The Wall Street Journal, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX joined Trump aboard Air Force One in May during a trip to China, where Musk told the president's team that he wanted to help Republicans in the November congressional elections.

According to sources, the billionaire plans to invest at least $100m to mobilize Republican voters in key states. The money is to go to his America PAC, which already supported Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

Relations between the two men deteriorated dramatically last June. Musk criticized Trump's tax and spending bill and claimed that without his support, Trump would not have won the election. The president, in turn, threatened to cancel government contracts with Musk's companies.

Vice President JD Vance, Trump's aides and conservative activist Charlie Kirk all helped restore their ties. Trump and Musk met at a memorial service following his assassination.

According to sources, the two now speak about once a month regarding artificial intelligence, China and world events. Musk has indicated, however, that this time around he does not want to be as visible in the election campaign as he was in 2024.
