Ukrainian Parliament Approves Khmara as Defense Minister

The Ukrainian Parliament approved Yevhenii Khmara as the country's new defense minister on Wednesday.

President Volodymyr Zelensky had appointed Khmara as acting minister in July, following the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov.

Lawmakers backed the appointment by 312 votes, above the 226 needed for a majority.
