Harry and Meghan Plan Return to UK After Six Years

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to move from California to the United Kingdom with their children later this month for an extended stay. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will start school there in September, according to People magazine and The Telegraph. A source close to the couple confirmed the reports.

Neither Harry’s spokesperson nor Buckingham Palace has commented. The couple is not expected to live in a royal residence and will remain non-working royals.

Harry and Meghan moved to the United States in March 2020 after stepping down as working members of the royal family. They later repeatedly criticized the monarchy in television interviews, a documentary series and Harry’s memoir, Spare.

Relations with King Charles have since begun to improve. Father and son met last September for the first time in 20 months, and last month the king saw his grandchildren for the first time since 2022.

Tensions between Harry and his older brother, Prince William, however, remain.
