Pope Leo XIV Urges Youth Courage in San Marino

During his visit to San Marino, Pope Leo XIV called on Christians to respond to the conflicts and divisions in the world by following the Gospel even more faithfully, according to Vatican News.

He recalled the legacy of Saints Marinus and Leo, the founders of the republic, who, he said, were able to translate the Christian principles of freedom, mutual respect and community into social and political life.

He addressed a special message to young people, encouraging them not to settle for partial or immediate answers, but to open their hearts to the "infinite" and to an encounter with God.

He also called on them to show courage in making fundamental life decisions, whether regarding marriage, consecrated life, the priesthood, a career or social and political engagement.

At the same time, the Pope emphasized the role of parents in passing on Christian values to their children. In his view, building community can help overcome individualism, mistrust and division, and strengthen hope for peace and brotherhood.
