Elon Musk No Longer a Trillionaire, Still Richest
Although Elon Musk has lost his status as the first trillionaire in history, he remains the world's richest person. According to Bloomberg, his net worth stands at about $873bn, having risen by $254bn since the beginning of 2026, Yahoo Finance reports.
Second on the list is Google co-founder Larry Page, whose net worth is estimated at $295bn. The gap between them is so wide that, according to calculations, Musk could give $69.42 to each of the more than 8.3 billion people on Earth and still have over $296bn left.
He would therefore remain at the top of the list of the world's richest people. The figure of 69.42 is also a nod to numbers Musk has repeatedly used in his posts and in the pricing of Tesla products.
His wealth, of course, is not sitting in a bank account. It consists mainly of shares in Tesla, SpaceX and other companies.
