US Support for Iran War Falls to New Low
US public support for the war with Iran has fallen to its lowest level since the early days of the conflict. According to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll, 31% of Americans support US military action against Iran, down from 37% in March and 34% earlier this month.
Support has also declined among Republicans, with 69% backing the war, down from 77% in March. The conflict is also weighing on President Donald Trump’s standing.
Only 33% of respondents approve of Trump’s performance in the White House, matching the previous survey and the lowest level recorded in Reuters/Ipsos polls during either his first or second term.
Meanwhile, 83% of Americans expect the war to continue for an extended period, up from 80% earlier this month. The survey was conducted among 1,215 US adults and had a margin of error of three percentage points in either direction.
