Turkey Hails Syria’s Removal From US Terror List

Turkey on Tuesday welcomed the United States’ decision to remove Syria from its list of state sponsors of terrorism, saying the move had eliminated "one of the biggest obstacles" to the country’s recovery and economic development.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also called on the international community to work together to secure a prosperous future for Syria.

"We call on the international community to unite its efforts toward a prosperous Syria and to fulfill its responsibilities in putting an end to the aggressive actions that threaten this vision", the ministry said.

Ankara was referring to Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.
