Russian attack hit important heating plant in Kiev, Syrskyj counted Ukraine's counterattacks

Russian forces attacked an important heating plant in the Kiev region on Monday night, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy. Rescue workers and energy specialists are on site to restore power and repair the damage caused by the attack.

According to the Ukrainian ministry, the attack aims to demoralize the population by denying them access to electricity and heat in their homes, hospitals, kindergartens, and schools.
The Russian ministry has not yet commented on this attack.

At the same time, the Ukrainian armed forces released statistics showing that they attacked 60 energy and military infrastructure targets on Russian territory in August.
Their goal was to weaken Russia's capacity to produce fuel and other petroleum products for mechanized units, missiles, drones, and air defense systems.

According to the commander of the Ukrainian armed forces, Oleksandr Syrskyj, the functionality of the Russian transport system was also impaired, which, in his opinion, weakened Russia's ability to continue the war.

Representatives of the Russian military command have not yet commented on these statements.
