US actor shoots woman at traffic lights, already charged

Actor Ernest Heinz was arrested in the US state of New Jersey. According to police, he allegedly shot at a female driver who was driving home from shopping on Thursday. writes Independent.

The shooting was preceded by the actor blocking the woman's car with his SUV for unknown reasons. He then followed the driver to the next traffic light, got out of his car, walked over to her car, and began to verbally abuse her. He then threatened to kill her that same day. This was followed by the shooting.

Maritzu Arias-Galva was hit in the nose by the bullet. Although she suffered serious injuries, her life is not in danger.

After the attack, the actor fled the scene and also crossed the grounds of nearby Stockton University, which was closed for safety reasons. Police eventually found him at his home in Port Republic.

He is currently charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and illegal possession of a firearm.
