Donetsk: Five civilians killed in Russian bombing raid
Russian FAB-250 attack on Donetsk: Five civilians killed On September 18, 2025, Russian forces carried out an air strike on Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region.
A FAB-250 bomb equipped with a UMPK module struck a residential area, according to a report by Ukrajinska Pravda.
The attack took place at 10 a.m. and claimed the lives of five civilians aged 62 to 74 – three men and two women who were outside their homes at the time of the attack. Four house facades were damaged.
According to the local prosecutor's office, this was a deliberate attack on the civilian population, which is classified as a war crime.
The investigation is being conducted by the police.
The use of the UMPK system shows that Russia continues to convert older bombs into more precise weapons, which, however, fall on civilian targets.
According to available information, this is another case of shelling inhabited areas, which has long been destroying the infrastructure of Donbas.
