Air traffic at Copenhagen Airport has been suspended; according to police, drones are the reason for this

Operations at Denmark's largest airport in Copenhagen were suspended after drones appeared in the vicinity, Danish police said on Monday evening.

“The airport is currently closed for takeoffs and landings as two to three large drones have been spotted in the area. The timeframe is currently unknown,” police said in a statement on social network X.

All flights at Copenhagen Airport were suspended from 8:26 p.m. The FlightRadar24 portal on the X network reported at 9:30 p.m. that one aircraft had landed at the airport after air traffic was suspended, while the others were still waiting. At least 35 flights were diverted to other airports, according to another post at 10:05 p.m.

An airport spokesperson confirmed that all operations had been suspended but declined to comment further.
