Zelensky at the UN: The world is facing the most devastating arms race ever

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the UN General Assembly on Wednesday and warned that the world is experiencing “the most devastating arms race in human history.” He emphasized the need to adopt rules for the use of artificial intelligence in arms control to prevent an uncontrolled boom in these technologies on the battlefield.

Zelensky accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of wanting to continue the war and expand it beyond Ukraine's borders. “We must do everything together to force Russia to end its aggression,” he said. He added that Kyiv was ready to share its experience in defending against the Russian invasion with other countries.

The Ukrainian president also thanked the United States for its support and described Tuesday's meeting with Donald Trump as good. In his opinion, the unity of the allies is a decisive factor that can end the Russian military campaign.
