Recognition of Palestinian state encourages killing of Jews, Netanyahu said

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned countries that recognize the Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly, accusing them of sending the message that “killing Jews pays off.”

Following the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which he believes are approved by the majority of Palestinians, support for Palestinian statehood sends a “clear signal” to the Palestinians.

Netanyahu also pointed out that many world leaders publicly criticize Israel, but behind closed doors express gratitude to the Israeli intelligence services.
He spoke out in favor of continuing the military campaign against Hamas and rejected any negotiations, which in his opinion would amount to surrender.

His speech was accompanied by protests, as many delegates left the hall. At the same time, Netanyahu had his speech broadcast to Gaza via loudspeaker, along with a message to the hostages that Israel had not forgotten them and would fight for their release.
