US Special Envoy Witkoff believes in the success of Trump's Gaza peace plan

US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff expressed “great optimism” about the US plan to end the war in Gaza and believes it will be successfully concluded.

In an interview with Fox News, he emphasized the broad international support for the agreement, including Arab Gulf states and European countries, reported the Times of Israel portal.

Witkoff pointed out that while some details still need to be worked out, those who do not agree are under pressure from US President Donald Trump, who will “push everyone to the finish line.”

The envoy also mentioned that the plan is intended to ensure the release of hostages on both sides, including Palestinians whose release Hamas is demanding in exchange for Israelis.

“I am very optimistic and at the same time full of hope,” Witkoff said. “This must end. I have met with people on both sides.”
