Herzog: Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize

Israeli President Isaac Herzog described the agreement on Gaza as a historic opportunity to bring hope and healing to the region, reported the Times of Israel.

He highlighted the efforts of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the negotiators, and mediators, and gave special thanks to US President Donald Trump, whom he praised as a key figure in the process of freeing hostages and ending the war.

According to Herzog, Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Should Trump visit Israel in the coming days, the Israeli people would welcome him with great gratitude and respect, the president said.

He also described the agreement as a source of deep relief for the families who have been waiting 733 days for the release of their loved ones. It is a moment of redemption and opens up a new horizon of hope in the Middle East, he said.
