Russia is expanding its cyberattack capabilities, claims Polish minister
Polish Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski stated that the number of cyberattacks on the country's critical infrastructure is increasing significantly and that he attributes most of them to Russian actors. According to him, Russian military intelligence has tripled its capacity for cyberattacks against Poland this year.
In the first three quarters, 170,000 cyber incidents were identified. According to the minister, approximately two thousand to four thousand incidents occur daily, of which seven hundred to one thousand pose a real threat or have the potential to cause serious problems.
Gawkowski pointed out that the Russian drone attack on September 10 was accompanied by a simultaneous cyberattack, which he said was the largest since 2022.
