Russia rejects Trump's warning – The country's economy is not on the brink of collapse
The Russian government has responded to comments made by US President Donald Trump, who claimed that the Russian economy was on the brink of collapse and that there were gasoline shortages in some regions.
However, according to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Russia is not experiencing any shortages and fuel supplies are stable. While he acknowledged that Ukrainian drone attacks had disrupted production at refineries and led to outages in some remote areas, he emphasized that the government had the situation under control.
While the International Monetary Fund has lowered its growth forecast for the Russian economy, the Kremlin says the slowdown is intentional and part of a defense strategy against sanctions.
Trump again called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine.
