Naryshkin: The world is facing its most fragile security situation

The head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, said on Tuesday that the world is experiencing its most fragile security situation since the end of World War II.

He emphasized that such a situation requires a willingness to seek compromises in order to prevent the emergence of a new global conflict. According to the RIA agency, an intense struggle is raging between the largest global and regional power centers to establish the rules of the future world order.

Naryshkin stressed that the main task is to ensure adaptation to the new reality without the outbreak of a major military conflict, as has been the case in the past. He reiterated the Kremlin's position that the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is blocking the peace process in Ukraine.
